The Abbey is extraordinary and the surroundings are wonderful. The city is a whole story, full of a preserved history with great attention to detail. Very professional.
Was easy to get around, no problems. We think to plan another trip to Melk in the near future.

Very nice small town. We really enjoyed the Abby tour.
Very nice small town. We really enjoyed the Abby tour. We also enjoyed the old downtown and all the sites and stores. We were there during the Christmas holiday break so some stores and restaurants were closed but that did no deter us. Would like to visit in the spring and summer.

Melk is a lovely touristic town, little shops, tiny streets, spectacular monestary and views.
The area of Wachau has so much to offer and explore, I loved it and I will definitely return in a different season.

We only had to spend a Friday night in Melk but once arrived (although pretty late), we got out to take a walk. We were impressed by the tranquility of the old town's city center and had a very nice dinner at Venezzia Restaurant (if you don't have to, don't go to the bathroom there :)). We'll be back to visit the Abbey!

Melk abbey is spectacular and a must-see.
Melk abbey is spectacular and a must-see. The town is very pretty and a great place to wander around for an hour or two. There were some nice restaurants and bars, but many places were closed for the season (January). You can see the abbey and town in an afternoon, but there are other places in the surrounding countryside if you stay longer.

Stopped overnight at Melk to visit the Abbey and it was well worth it. Lovely old town with cobblestone streets and a great atmosphere, but the guided tour of Melk Abbey was the fantastic highlight. Saw Durnstein on the way and Schallaberg Castle on the way back to Vienna - both also well worth stopping.
Small hotel, but with excellent services, located in the medieval center of Melk.
I liked everything: the comfortable room, the classic bathroom with a bathtub, many channels on TV; breakfast exceeded my expectations, being very varied, including omelette with ham; extremely friendly and solicitous staff.
Do not miss a dinner at the restaurant on the ground floor, although it is quite difficult to find a free table in the evening, which says everything about the quality of the products and services.
This guest house is in a perfect location in the beautiful town of Melk...an easy to walk to the spectacular Abbey and all the shops, cafés and restaurants in the historical centre. Our room was large and spacious and we appreciated touches like hooks to hang things and a comfortable bed...double windows made for a quiet night's sleep. The breakfast was delicious and varied. We highly recommend ...it is great value and we had a really pleasant stay.
lovely room #2; great location (Main Street, 10 minute walk to the Abbey ( up stairs), 15 walk to the boat on the Danube, 7 minutes or so to the train station); decent breakfast choices; amazing restaurant (this restaurant is easily the most popular in town so reserve ahead. We had the stuffed chicken ( incredible) the goulash and the schnitzel); friendly, efficient staff.
Old-fashioned little hotel on a good place and with great staff. We had a big room with wonderful view on Melk Monastery. The bed was very comfortable and the room was cleaned up. The great thing (for us) is that they accommodate pets, so we could come with our dog. :-) The breakfast is served in a different place nearby, but it is rich and tasty.
The reception was very nice and flexible. The hotel was right under the Melk Abbey which was very close and easily accessible. The rooms and the bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was delicious. We were also able to park on sight without any extra costs. Great place to stay if you want to check out the Melk Abbey.
The location was fantastic, only a short stroll to the Altstadt and Melk Abbey
Really nice coffee for breakfast. Good selection of rolls, ham, cheese etc.
The room was small but functional and we enjoyed having a little table and chairs as well.
Definitely good value for what we paid. Would stay again....
A wonderful spot to stay in Melk and singularly quaint to boot. You have a creaking old staircase into large rooms either overlooking the pretty town square of up the the Stift. The cafe where you have breakfast is a dainty place with its red velvet sofa seats. Breakfast was good!
Everything you need for staying one night ,in your transit from Austria!
Isn't luxury but pleasant ,if you aren't sophisticated in your expectations regarding the comfort conditions.
Help full host, for all our asked topics .
Thank you again, for our short but nice stay on!
Lovely place a little further from Melk, so do not expect a restaurant nearby, you will have to get in the car for that. The rooms were great, and the garden beautiful, and I had the best apricot and strawberry jams in my life.
Good value.
We spent only one night here, but with complete satisfaction. The lady of the house is amazing, the breakfast is perfect from local ingredients, the room is clean. Melk is a beautiful little town that is well worth a visit.
Good breakfast ..almost everything there as needed.Nice and helpfull stuff. great free parking. Road was but narrow for parking so need but skill. also the hotel is in padestrian area so driving needs caution.
Nice location, well equiped appartment, spacious bathroom, possibility to use calm garden.
Close to the centre, walking distance to Melk abbey and river cruises.
Excellent and pleasent apartments, clean and very close to the old town and Stift Melk.
Whenever we will return to Melk, thiscwill be the first choice.
